Jadeja struck a magnificent six straight down the ground, and it came down to the final ball…. 4 needed off 1…. Mohit bowled a low full toss, and Jadeja flicked it away to the boundary as the Super Kings went past the finish line.

Inserted into bat, the Gujarat Titans posted a total of 214/4 on the board. The openers – Wriddhiman Saha (54) and Shubman Gill (39) put on a partnership of 67 runs in seven overs. Gill was dismissed courtesy a moment of magic from MS Dhoni behind the stumps. The right-hander was beaten outside off stump by Ravindra Jadeja, and Dhoni whipped the bails off in a flash as Gill was caught short of the crease.

Sai Sudharsan then came out and scored a magnificent 47-ball 96. The left-hander’s innings was filled with eight fours and six sixes. Skipper Hardik Pandya then came in and played a quickfire cameo, scoring a 12-ball 21*. Matheesha Pathirana picked up two wickets for the Super Kings.
